HO Saltillo Water Tank Kit

The water tank at Saltillo was one of several that once stood along the EBT main line and branches. The tank was built in the early 1900's. The tank was heated with a small potbelly stove to keep it just warm enough to prevent the water for steam locomotives from freezing during cold weather. The water supply was a cistern adjacent to the right side of the tank, fed by pipe from a creek right by the tank.

The Saltillo Water Tank kit is the second in a series of models of EBT water tanks produced by Southern Heritage Models. The foundation, waterspout and other detail parts are unique resin parts designed just for this kit. The kit includes interior support and framing for those who wish to add interior details. This kit will make a great addition to your EBT layout!
