HO Coles Water Tank Kit

The water tank at Coles Station is the last surviving enclosed water tank of several that once stood along the EBT main line and branches, and was likely built around 1910. They were typically heated with small stoves to prevent the water supply for steam locomotives from freezing during the winter. The tank was fed by a single cylinder gasoline engine powering a vertical stroke pump via a flat belt. The water supply was a cistern adjacent to the rear of the tank, fed by pipe from a spring a few hundred feet toward Sideling Hill from the tank.

The Coles Water Tank kit is the first in a series of models of EBT water tanks. The foundation, waterspout and chimney are unique resin parts designed just for this kit. The kit includes interior support and framing for those who wish to add interior details. This kit will make a great addition to your EBT layout!
